Standing a bit smaller than the other lambs, This ceramic lamb sculpture is a beautiful decorative piece which also serves as a vessel for minor bulbs. It can also be used to hold chime sized candles or even incense. It is handmade at our studio and the result of skilled craftsmanship that goes into its creation and is yet another way to create a beautiful spring tableau.
The lambs are crafted from stoneware using vintage molds with yixing handbuilding technique, slipped then glazed and finally fired in our electric kiln. Each piece is one of a kind, with its own unique character and personality. Specific detail and attention is allowed to merge into the form of this pastoral creature and results in a joyful presence that is evident in the curves and contours of the lamb's body, lending to a sense of movement and vitality.
